Crawler Crew Luxembourg in the mine

There was a little more going on in our mine: The Crawler Crew Luxembourg visited us with 70 people on Saturday, 11 November 2023.

Locomotive of 18 tonnes lifted

The electric locomotive of our mine train does not need winter tires, but the wheels must be checked regularly. For this work, carried out by the company "Schöma" Diepholz (D), the 18-ton machine has been lifted with an impressive crane these days.

Graduation Party of the high saison 2023

As a thank you for their commitment, the Board of Directors has invited all volunteers, employees, guides, train drivers and those who have supported the museum to a graduation party of the high season 2023. Together one celebrated a little with a good meal and a nice atmosphere.

50 years ago, they helped to set up a first small mining museum in Rumelange: the miners Nic Ronconi, Mett Welter, Mett Kockelmann and Wendel Coulon It was the beginning of a success story.

Inauguration of the new reception

Official opening of the new reception and multi-purpose room of the MNM in the presence of Minister Lex Delles, the representatives of the lay judges and municipal council, the volunteers, leaders and employees of the museum.
