2025: The MNM opens every Sunday

In 2025, our museum is open every Sunday in the off-season, in any weather, for young and old. The MNM presents the industrial history of an entire epoch (1870 – 1997) for almost two hours during a guided tour mine & train. Special tour “Lost Places”

on February 16th and 23rd or on march 23rd and 30th On a tour of about 3 km you go through the main gallery of the Walert over into the mine Langengrund. There our historian will show and explain to you rooms and galleries that are nomally inaccessible to the public. Rumelange: The day of St. Barbara in honor of the miners

The day of St. Barbara was celebrated in honor of the miners with a parade through the city, a memorial ceremony in front of the monument for the miners, a mass in our tunnel and a tasty lunch at the cultural center.

Restauration of the wheel loader Eimco 912
