In a geologist’s outfit, children are on the lookout for plants and animals of the past which have been preseved inside the rock. After a short introduction, the would be geologists don their protective equipment and their hammers and head for our stock of limestone rock extracted from a nearby quarry.
The tour is outside and lasts 2 hours for a maximum of 18 children per group. For larger groups, a second tour will have to be added.
The tour takes place behind the museum building inside a former open pit mine (start at the MNM). Please wear clothes appropriate for the weather and hiking boots.
