Under the slogan “On the marks of Limestone of Rumelange”, the passionate researcher of the Minett region, Claude Hermes, introduced the participants of our MNM “Stammdësch” to the history and development of the lime industry of Rumelange. From the beginnings around 1807 to the closure of the Berens industrial plant around 1960, various aspects of this local industry were illuminated by photos, family trees, articles from the period and documents.
