To write the history of the Luxembourg mines you need many different sources, and photos are among the most interesting. Using the example of some pictures from the archive of the MNM, Denis Klein shows the difficulties of taking photos in a mine containing the information that the historian can draw from the images. Our museum has also scheduled a cycle of conferences on the history of regional iron ore mining for 2025.
