MNM-Stammdësch: Conference about the geology of the Minette

Robert Colbach, Director of the "Service géologique de l'État", presents some aspects of the complex geological evolution of the Minette. Topics include the age and formation of the iron ore, as well as its mineralogical composition and structure. MNM-Conference: Photos as a source of mining history

To write the history of the Luxembourg mines you need many different sources, and photos are among the most interesting. Using the example of some pictures from the archive of the MNM, Denis Klein shows the difficulties of taking photos in a mine containing the information that the historian can draw from the images. MNM Stammdësch : Conferences about the history of the “Minett”

Our museum has also scheduled a cycle of conferences on the history of regional iron ore mining for 2025. In a pleasant atmosphere, historians, witnesses and other specialists come to speak to shed more light on an aspect of history.
